Get started with Tomatis®

The Sound Teacher is a licensed Tomatis® Consultant based in London (UK).

Sound and listening therapy programmes for all ages: infants, children, adolescents, adults and seniors.

Tomatis® is a unique sound stimulation training programme - an educational sound therapy. If you have tried tutoring, speech and language, physical therapies, counselling and more but are not seeing the progress you would expect, poor sound processing could be blocking progress.

Here is the pathway to getting started:

  • FREE screening questionnaires (children)

Two Tomatis® Evaluation Database (TED) questionnaires will be emailed to you: Sensory and Executive. Questions include motor control, emotional regulation, communication, sensory integration and more.

Scores create a unique auditory profile of the child.

  • Information gathering (all ages)

There is always the opportunity to ask questions and discuss therapy expectations at any stage, via WhatsApp, email or telephone.

Face-to-face informal observation and coaching on the specialist sound equipment is provided.

Formal assessment may be recommended to fine tune the screening process.

  • Personalised listening programme

Listening therapy is done in your own home via a TalksUp® device which connects to your own personal Infinite headphones (purchase here). The device is leased to you for the duration of a listening intensive.

Typical listening intensives are 14 days/ 1 hour daily and can fit around daily routines. Find out more here.

Typically 3 intensive phases (14 days each) with increasing breaks of 4-6 and then 8-12 weeks in between are sufficient.

The pathway to getting started with Tomatis® is quite simple:

  1. Request a FREE questionnaire (children).

  2. Ask about additional screening (all ages).

  3. Book a Tomatis® Listening Test (6 years+).

  4. Purchase you Infinite headphones at www.infinite.tomatis.com

NB. A bone conduction option is available if the client is unable to use headphones.
