Ethos

The Sound Teacher is founded on a deep respect for the impact of hearing and listening on learning and life. My priority is to make meaningful listening support accessible and to deliver practical, lasting change without unnecessary complexity. Strategies that strengthen auditory, physical and cognitive wellbeing are shared openly, with the aim of empowering clients rather than creating dependence. Success is measured not only by outcomes, but by independence — when clients are equipped to sustain their progress and confidently share their learning within their families and communities.

Programmes are built on mutual trust. Clients are encouraged to develop confidence, maintain commitment to their listening plan and work steadily towards independence. I recognise that life circumstances change. Where challenges arise, solutions are sought collaboratively and with flexibility.

Maintaining professional standards is central to my work. I keep up-to-date with ongoing practitioner training and licensing to ensure continued access to the Tomatis® Method for clients undertaking home-based programmes.

Terms & Conditions

Rationale

Listening change is a skill for life. Programmes are designed to support independence and long-term maintenance of outcomes. Clients are encouraged to take shared responsibility for engaging fully with the process and sustaining progress beyond the structured programme. Where possible, first-time clients are seen face-to-face for assessment, discussion of expectations and handover of equipment.

Professional Standards

These Terms & Conditions are designed to minimise:

  • unnecessary complexity in communication or process

  • deviation from agreed therapy plans

  • lack of commitment to sustaining outcomes

  • delays when issuing/returning equipment

Programmes are most effective when approached with consistency, openness and shared responsibility.
