Tomatis® Consultant (Level 4) - educational sound therapy.
Cat graduated from the University of Kent with a BA (Hons) in Social Policy, and subsequently the University of Surrey Roehampton with a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PCGE Primary - ICT specialism). She worked as a class teacher for the London Boroughs of Lewisham and Croydon from 2001.
Cat completed a Postgraduate Degree in Education Studies - Qualified Teacher of Deaf children and young people (2014-2016 with Distinction), and does freelance work with the London Borough of Bromley as a QToD for their primary and secondary school Deaf bases.
Educational sound and listening therapy. With several years of theoretical and practical training (case studies) both in the UK and abroad, Cat has achieved Tomatis® Consultant Level 4, the highest level of expertise and mastery in the use of the Tomatis® Method in all its aspects.
Cat says: “The demand for my listening therapy services across the UK and beyond reveals the critical value of good sound processing, whatever age or stage of life.”
The Sound Teacher works with private individuals, and with schools and community organisations to support the screening of infants, children, young people, adults and seniors. All of the screening options available can be used to help quickly identify blocks to learning.
In Spring 2024, Cat was awarded Associate Fellowship of the British Society of Audiology, for contributions to the BSA and to the field of audiology. Cat is passionate about the impact of hearing and listening on learning and life.
