PROM-T5® and music
Hearing changes can leave musicians and music lovers struggling with clarity, pitch, stamina and confidence. Explore how the PROM-T5® and Tomatis® Method support musical rehabilitation, restoring balance, precision and connection to music.
Soundsory
Soundsory® is a home-based headset program that uses rhythmic music and movement exercises to boost motor and cognitive skills. It supports rhythm, balance, coordination, sensory, and auditory processing, as well as alertness and attention. The system helps reduce movement anxiety and improves body awareness, making daily tasks easier. Listening to its varied rhythms encourages movement.
How hearing works
Over 80% of brain stimulation comes from the ear, which energizes the brain. Hearing happens when sound waves move through the ear canal and vibrate the eardrum. Hearing loss is either conductive or sensorineural. Hearing is essential for communication, emotional well-being, and mental health; methods like Tomatis® can improve the emotional side of hearing. Sound stimulation therapy boosts memory, attention, concentration, and sound discrimination.
ADHD and the Tomatis® Method
How can the Tomatis® Method support ADHD? ADHD treatments improve focus, impulse control, and manage symptoms for better daily life. The Tomatis® Method is a neurosensory training involving listening to modified music at home. It complements other ADHD therapies for all ages by engaging the ear, brain, and body.
The Tomatis® Method and speech
The Tomatis® Method uses sound stimulation to enhance language and speech development at any age, providing broader benefits than speech therapy. Progress often stalls due to listening issues; The Tomatis® Method and Maestro headphones address this by improving listening skills.
Balance in life
This blog helps you understand persistent dizziness and highlights the importance of early problem identification for effective self-help. Learn to distinguish helpful from unhelpful stress responses and find practical management strategies in the practical toolkit.
Listening Test with The Sound Teacher
Listening experiences differ from person to person, even with similar hearing ability. A sound processing assessment identifies specific challenges. Using Tomatis® Maestro headphones at home, the listening test evaluates how your ears, body, and brain work together—no soundproof booth needed. Exams and tests may include ear checks, air/bone conduction, and assessments for selectivity, sensitivity, and laterality. Results are reviewed and personalized next steps are provided.
A to Zen
The Zen of Climbing - a book by Francis Sanzaro PhD - explores the fundamentals of success and failure in the sport of climbing.
In reviewing this pocket book, I observed similarities between Sanzaro’s ideas and the Tomatis® auditory stimulation method. Consequently, I have chosen several important quotes and discussed their connections.
Vagus Vibes
The vagus nerve plays a key role in regulating bodily responses and alertness. In this blog I describe how both physical activity and Tomatis® auditory stimulation can activate alertness circuits, aiding in overcoming conditions such as procrastination, brain fog, inertia and even transition paralysis.
Beyond Silence
"Beyond Silence” is the theme for Deaf Awareness Week, May 5th - 11th 2025. The emphasis is on breaking down barriers, promoting accessibility, and celebrating the contributions of Deaf individuals and the Deaf community. It is also an opportunity to promote awareness and understanding around being Deaf/hard of hearing.

Do you have the vision?
Eyesight is vital. It is up there with the ability to move, to get up out of chairs or to walk and run. Eyesight and movement are the main ways that humans are able to take care of themselves and others. Preserving vision is one of the most quality of life enhancing things you can do.

Talking Heads
Talking therapies succeed for about half of clients and typically use a top-down approach focused on the prefrontal cortex. The Tomatis® method takes a different, mind-body route, similar to meditation and sensory integration. Use Tomatis® sound therapy to prepare for talk-based treatment.
Tune your ears to your chosen language

Here’s to a SATs-free summer! 🌞
As children/staff learn of their Year 6 SATs results this week, the question is: What exactly is the point/value of SATs? SATs are certainly not telling anyone about the young person’s cognitive skills and processing, or what barriers may be blocking learning. Yet a considerable amount of cognitive processes (learning) depend on multisensory integration, especially sound and vision.
Talking to Dad about his hearing loss
More men than women acquire age-related hearing loss as they find themselves in loud situations more often than women. This divide occurs both in the workplace and during leisure pursuits. Studies have shown that age-related hearing loss increases the long-term risk of cognitive decline and dementia.
