Moro Reflex

The Moro reflex is an involuntary reaction to threat. Triggers are multi-sensory.

Challenges when this reflex is not integrated:

  • Vestibular: motion sickness/balance and coordination

  • Visual: hypersensitivity to light and movements (visual field)

  • Sound sensitivity: difficulty shutting out background noise

  • Poor stamina for tasks

  • Dislikes change or surprises

  • Free floating anxiety

  • Mood swings/tense muscle tone (body armouring)

  • Cycles of hyperactivity followed by excessive fatigue

  • Food cravings (can be for sugary and/or salty)

  • Difficulty making decisions
